Twinnies Petting Farm is a friendly, family-run mobile petting farm bringing the joy of animals directly to you. We are passionate about creating safe, fun, and meaningful animal experiences for people of all ages.
Our visits are perfect for birthday parties, schools, nurseries, care homes, community events, and animal therapy sessions. We believe animals have a special way of making people smile, feel calm, and connect, which is why animal welfare and gentle interaction are always at the heart of what we do.
We work with a lovely range of friendly animals, including alpacas, donkeys, goats, lambs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. Each animal is carefully cared for and chosen for their calm temperament and suitability for public and therapeutic settings.

Come and enjoy a hands-on animal experience at Twinnies Petting Farm, where you can meet our friendly animals in a calm, welcoming environment. Spend time with alpacas, donkeys, goats, lambs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and learn all about them through gentle interaction and supervised handling.

Our Animals have either been Rescued or unwanted. They all have their Forever home with us. All proceeds that are made goes towards their upkeep and vet bills.
Meet Dinky, our tiny mini Shetland with a big heart 🐴💕
She loves visiting care homes, even going up in the lift to see residents and bring smiles wherever she goes.
Dinky has a locking stifle, which can make her back legs stiff, but all her travelling actually helps build muscle and keeps her stronger 💪
She truly loves her little adventures and all the fuss she gets along the way
Meet Dormouse, our sweet little mini Shetland with the gentlest nature 🐴💕
He loves visiting care homes, happily hopping in the lift and soaking up all the attention while bringing smiles to everyone he meets.
Dormouse often heads out on adventures with his sister Fling, the two of them making the perfect little duo and spreading joy wherever they go
Meet Fling, our cheeky little mini Shetland with plenty of personality 🐴✨
Fling isn’t a fan of care home visits, but she absolutely loves attending children’s birthday parties where she can enjoy all the excitement and attention.
She often heads out on adventures with her brother Dormouse, the two of them making a lovely little duo and bringing smiles wherever they go
Meet Pinky, our gentle giant 🐴💕
Loved and cared for by Kiki, Pinky has the sweetest nature and will happily stand all day to be groomed and fussed over.
He absolutely adores the attention and is as calm as they come, making him a firm favourite with everyone who meets him
Meet Sky, our cheeky girl and Christal’s absolute pride and joy 🐴👑
Christal has had Sky since before she even had children, making her a truly special part of the family.
She rules the field like a queen and certainly knows it, full of personality and always keeping everyone on their toes

She’s a much-loved member of the family, sharing a special bond with Lilly and bringing so much happiness with her gentle nature.

Meet Charlie Brown, officially the slowest donkey in the world 🫏🐢
He takes life one very gentle step at a time, never in a rush and always doing things his own way.
But what he lacks in speed, he more than makes up for in charm and cuddles

CHRISTAL WELCH
Christal – Founder & Heart Behind the Farm
Christal is the driving force behind everything you see here. With a lifelong passion for animals and the outdoors, she has built more than just a farm — she’s created a place where people can connect, learn, and feel at home.
Her journey started with a deep love for animal care and hands-on experience, growing into a business that blends education, welfare, and unforgettable experiences. From raising lambs and caring for ponies to welcoming visitors and working with young people, Christal brings energy, resilience, and a genuine love for what she does every single day.
Known for her down-to-earth approach and can-do attitude, Christal has a natural way of putting both animals and people at ease. She is especially passionate about giving children and young people opportunities to learn, build confidence, and experience life on a working farm.
Whether she’s feeding calves at sunrise, managing the day-to-day running of the farm, or planning new experiences for visitors, Christal is always at the centre of it all — leading with heart, determination, and a touch of countryside chaos.
KIKI WELCH
Kiki is a key part of the team and brings energy, confidence, and a real passion for poultry to the farm. At just 14, she has taken full responsibility for her own flock of chickens — caring for them daily, collecting and selling fresh eggs, and even hatching her own chicks.
With a natural instinct for animal care, Kiki is hands-on in every part of the process, from incubation to raising healthy, happy birds. Her dedication and knowledge continue to grow, and she takes great pride in the welfare of her animals.
Kiki is also fantastic with people and loves chatting to visitors, especially when it comes to sharing what she knows about chickens and farm life. Her friendly, approachable nature makes her a favourite with customers, and she plays an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere on the farm.
Whether she’s checking on her hens, helping customers choose eggs, or introducing newly hatched chicks, Kiki is a brilliant young entrepreneur in the making and a valued member of the team.
CAIDAN WELCH
Caidan – Farm Assistant & Tractor Enthusiast
Caidan is a hardworking and reliable member of the team, with a real passion for farming and machinery. He regularly helps out on local farms, gaining hands-on experience with tasks such as milking cows and supporting the day-to-day running of a working farm.
Recently passing his tractor test, Caidan has taken a big step forward and is always keen to get behind the wheel. His enthusiasm for tractors and farm work shines through in everything he does, and he’s quickly building valuable skills and confidence in the agricultural environment.
Caidan has a strong work ethic and enjoys getting stuck in, whether it’s early mornings, practical jobs, or learning something new. His dedication and love for farming make him a great asset to the team and someone with a bright future in agriculture.
LILLY MAXWELL
Lilly – Animal Lover & Helping Hands
Lilly is the youngest member of the team and brings a gentle, caring presence to the farm. She has a real love for all animals and enjoys spending time with them, whether that’s helping out around the farm or simply giving them a bit of extra attention.
She especially loves horse riding and being outdoors, making the most of farm life alongside her friends. While Lilly can be a little shy when she first meets people, her confidence quickly grows, and her kind nature shines through.
Lilly enjoys being involved in the day-to-day life of the farm and is always happy to lend a helping hand. Her calm approach and natural connection with animals make her a lovely part of the team.
GEMMA WELCH
Gemma is Christal’s Twin sister, she Is a big part of Twinnies Petting Farm, taking care of business and making sure things are running proper. Everything is run past Gemma before it’s final. Gemma is also a qualified riding instructor which she spends majority of her time doing.
